Orion Academy's "Moving Forward" Curriculum
Although this is an ever-evolving work-in-progress, we hope to bring to you a curriculum full of the arts. Here at Orion Academy, we love music, and we believe that music is a fun and important part of life. We appreciate other arts, as well. We love to do handicrafts, view works of art, and even enjoy finding the artful beauty in nature. This curriculum is planned for a 200 day school year, divided up into 52 weeks. We do school on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday -- however, you may adjust this curriculum to fit your needs. We believe in doing short lessons, and this makes it easy for you to adjust for a shorter, or longer, school year! Due to us living between Taiwan and America, we have scheduled certain weeks off for holidays (such as: Chinese New Year, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.). We, personally, begin school the first week of the calendar year. However, you may feel free to move the weeks around as you wish. We hope that you will find our curriculum easy to modify to fit your own needs. However, please feel free to contact us with any comments, suggestions, or changes you would like to see.
