Hand, Hand, Finger, Thumb; and H.C. Lumbye's "Copenhagen Steam Railway Galop"

Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb by Al Perkins is a great book for little ones. They'll love drumming along as you read the book to them! With bright pictures, funny looking monkeys, a fun rhyming pattern, and fun-to-say words, this book is absolutely captivating for younger audiences and adults alike! The Boy loves drumming his hands with me as I recite "drum ditty, drum ditty, drum drum drum!" This book is great for getting little hands in motion, working with rhythm.

Hans Christian Lumbye is a Danish composer from the 1800's. Lumbye was born in 1810 and began composing his first piece in 1839.

Copenhagen Steam Railway Galop is a great piece for young children. Whether you're looking for something energetic for playtime, something to get the kids moving during chores, or something to dance to with your baby or toddler,Copenhagen Steam Railway Galop is sure to give you a great workout. The Boy and I enjoy dancing to this on Saturday mornings. Lifting him during the downbeats sure gives my arms, and lungs, a workout!
